Turkey Bolognese

Turkey is a fantastic alternative to beef as a lean protein.  You can easily replicate good old bolognese and I bet many people wouldn’t even notice.  Here’s an easy recipe for you to give it a whirl.

Instructions
  1. Melt the ghee in a large saucepan and gently cook the onion and garlic for a few minutes before adding the turkey mince.
  2. Once the mince is browned, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for a further 3 minutes or so.
  3. Add the chilli flakes, tomatoes, red wine, stock and thyme. Bring to the boil and cook with the lid on for around an hour.
